Conducting additive-free amorphous GeO2/C composite as a high capacity and long-term stability anode for lithium ion batteries

A novel citric gel method has been proposed for synthesizing an amorphous GeO2 /C composite. The as prepared amorphous GeO2 /C composite without carbon black as an electrode for the Li-ion battery exhibited a superior electrochemical performance.
