A facile synthesis of highly luminescent nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots for the detection of 2,4,6-trinitrophenol in aqueous solution

Fluorescent N-GQDs with a high quantum yield of 59.2% have been synthesized by pyrolyzing CA and Tris-HMA. The N-GQDs emitted strong blue fluorescence under 365 nm UV light and their fluorescence intensity showed a sensitive response to TNP in the range 1-60 [small mu ]M.
