We report a facile approach to prepare few-layered MoS2 nanosheet coated TiO2 nanobelts for lithium ion batteries. The TiO2 @MoS2 structure exhibits a reversible capacity of 710 mA h g-1 at 100 mA g-1 after 100 cycles with highly stable capacity retention, and bears good rate capability.
