Density functional theory studies demonstrate that defective graphene-supported Cu nanoparticles can modify the structural and electronic properties of copper for enhancing electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2 ) into hydrocarbon fuels (CH4 , CO, and HCOOH).
